CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

The Club celebrates its 45th birthday in November this year. By the end of its first year’s existence it had 35 members, but since then it has grown and now boasts about 600.

Our objectives are pretty simple; they are to encourage Veterans of all standards to continue playing the game by arranging friendly games, by organising tours at home and abroad, by hosting foreign teams who wish to play in UK and by holding a Tournament each year for all ages from 45 to 75 in five-year age groups.

Most of all we hope by these methods to forge strong and lasting friendships within our membership.

We have a small Committee who work tirelessly to do their utmost to achieve the objectives of the Club, to take note of members’ wishes and to keep members informed about what is going on.

I commend the Club to all players over the age of 45 for men and 40 for women – you will be made very welcome – and I would encourage existing members to participate as much as possible in the activities of this very well -thought-of Club.
