2008 WORLD MASTERS

CHRISTCHURCH, NEW ZEALAND

REPORT

With the medal haul for GB Vets of 14 (3 Gold, 4 Silver, 7 Bronze) in Cape Town in 2006 expectations were high for 2008.

In the event we achieved just 1 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze.

 

Congratulations to:

Averil Murphy winning gold in the women’s O60.

Sue Williams winning silver in the O45 (a GB Vet but playing under the Australian flag!)

And the following for winning Bronze:

Claire Baker in the O45’s

Philip Ayton in the O60’s

Adrian Wright in the O65’s

John Woodliffe in the O70’s

The tournament was thoroughly well organised from start to finish and enjoyed by all.

Next World Masters will be in Cologne in October 2010.
