THE FUTURE OF CLUB "FINALS WEEKEND"

AND THE AGM

Following suggestions and comments from members, the Committee considered the future venue and timings of the Club "Finals Weekend" and AGM at it's Meeting on 16^th May 2006. At that Meeting the following decisions were taken:

a. Venue In order to encourage the maximum entry to the Club Championships, the venue of the "Finals Weekend" and AGM will alternate between the north of the Thames and south of the Thames. The "Finals Weekend" and AGM were held at the Broxbourne Sports Club in April 2006. Accordingly, the 2007 "Finals Weekend" and AGM will take place at Colets in Thames Ditton (over the weekend 21-22 April 2007).

b. Timings In order to ease the travel arrangements for members living some distance from London, the Finals on the Sunday will commence at 1030 am (instead of 12 noon as in previous years).

The entry form for the 2006-07 Club Championships is included with the Summer Newsletter. Completed forms should be returned to Geoff Howes by 30^th September 2006. Further details on the "Finals Weekend" and the AGM, including directions to Colets, will appear in the Spring 2007 Newsletter.
