MO55 MARK COWLEY reached the semis losing to the eventual winner Ross Norman of NZ.

MO60 STUART HARDY in his first ever British Open final played the No.1 seed PETER ALEXANDER. Both played exceptional squash and 6-6 in the fifth it was anyone's game, but Peter took the next 3 points to win the title. PAUL READER reached the last 8.

MO65 Both BARRY FEATHERSTONE the No. 1 seed and AUBREY WADDY No.2 had relatively easy matches to the final, neither losing a single game on the way. Barry might have won 3/0 but lost the third 8/10 but then went on to win the fourth 9/6 to take the title..again. LARRY GROVER reached the semis whilst HARVEY KEMBER, CHRIS GOODBOURN and CHRIS ANSELL reached the last 8.

MO70 Another rematch of last year between ADRIAN WRIGHT and MIKE CLEMSON. The match seesawed until 6-6 in the fifth with Adrian at that point seeming to be in control, but it was Mike who took the fifth 9/6 to win the title..sweet revenge! GRAHAM FISHER reached the semis.

MO75 VINNIE TAYLOR, who plays for Scotland and lives in Canada, was up against Pat Kirton who has won more titles than he can remember. Having beaten JOHN WOODLIFFE 10/8 in the fifth in the previous round Vinnie played some inspired squash against Pat winning the first 9/1. but then having saved match ball in the fourth eventually, after 53 minutes, went down 6/9 in the fifth. Another title for Pat. LANCE KINDER reached the semis.

WO35 SAM MUELLER having taken 62 minutes to beat her opponent in the semis then had a mammoth battle for 75 minutes in the final against Katie Lawrence. Katie eventually won 9/4 in the fifth..an excellent match.

WO50 MANDY AKIN fresh from her British Closed win in February powered her way to the final. It was sweet revenge for Mandy as she beat Fiona McLean 9/7 in the fourth having lost to Fiona in the Home Internationals in Dublin earlier in the month.

WO55 LYNNE DAVIES having beaten KAREN HUME 3/1 in the semis, found herself up against Helen Gould in the final. A hard fought match resulting in Helen taking the title.
