Karen Hume kept assembling a decent side for Mandy Akin to Captain, but withdrawals at a late stage was very difficult. Nevertheless, GB Vets made RAC work hard for their 3 strings to 1 victory. Jerome Wilcox and Kevin Connors lost 3 hard fought games to Taffinder&Gardner. Shayne Baille and Mandy Akin took a game from Blewer and Coleman before going down 3 games to 1. Steve Jackson and Tamsin Bennett worked wonders to snatch a 3-2 victory from Maclean&Drury. Fiona Pearson, with a late guest appearance from James Manzonni were ousted 0-3 by local pair Dubois and Radcliffe. Always a pleasure to play on the RAC courts and enjoy their hospitality.
